Red to Dead training

Red to Dead is the Dead Sea relay and ultra that many runners in Jordan train for. Whether you run it as part of a team or alone, we help you get ready.

How to get ready for Red to Dead

The format, distances and rules are set by the organisers and can change from year to year. Check the organisers' site for this year's format before you plan.

Once you know your leg or your distance, your coach builds the plan back from race day: endurance on Saturdays, speed on Wednesdays, and practice running on tired legs if you are in a relay.

How it works with the club

  1. 1

    Take the quiz

Four questions point you to the right goal page and sessions.

  2. 2

    Come on Monday

The Open Run is open to everyone: download the app and check in.

  3. 3

    Get your plan

Members get a plan for their goal race, with club sessions built in.

  4. 4

    Train with the crew

Wednesday track, Saturday long run, and race day as a team.

The club sessions you would come to

An example week, not your plan. Your coach sets the real numbers from where you are now.

Questions

How long is Red to Dead?

Can I find a relay team through the club?

Come to a Monday Open Run and ask. Members often team up for races.
