Striders: Run & Train · last updated 22 October 2026
Striders is a run club and training team in Amman, Jordan. This policy explains what the Striders app collects and why. We don't sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email, username and, if you add them, phone, Instagram handle, bio and photo.
- Runs: while a session is running we use your precise location to measure distance and pace. Finished runs (distance, time, splits, route) are saved to your account.
- Health data (optional): if you allow it, we read recent runs and resting heart rate from Apple Health or Health Connect to estimate your training paces. Health data is never used for advertising or shared with anyone.
- Club activity: RSVPs, check-ins, points, badges, posts, comments and likes.
- Photos: only the ones you choose to upload or save.
How we use it
To run the club: show sessions, record check-ins and streaks, coach your runs, show your progress, and let members see posts in the club feed. Club organisers can see member profiles and check-ins.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with Supabase (our database and storage provider). Notifications are delivered through Apple and Google push services.
Who can see it
Your profile, posts and badges are visible to other approved Striders members. Your runs are private to you unless you share them.
Your choices
- Change or remove profile details any time in Edit profile.
- Turn off location, health access or notifications in your phone's settings.
- Delete your account in the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile, runs, posts and check-ins.
Children
Striders is not directed at children under 13.
